On Thursday, May 6th four finalist show cased their beautifully crafted gowns & cocktail dresses for the final judging night of The Velvet Room’s ‘Design A Dress’ Competition.

Finalists were spoiled by an impressive panel of guest judges – Wanny Tang (boutique owner & designer), Carlie Wong (designer) & Marilyn Wilson (fashionEzine)And what a competition it was!

Thanks went out to all the designers and their fantastic work in creating designs for the Velvet Room. After much deliberation by the judges we announced the winner, Kwantlen student, Jojo Heaps, and celebrated with a glass of Champagne.

Congratulations Jojo for making such a beautiful cocktail dress that can hide a multitude of sins & flatter any figure.
